A field blend of old varieties from five microplots. These were planted by people selling grapes who simply planted where they could find land, high in the mountains, directly on the rock where no one else wanted to plant. ‘This is the patrimony that I want to leave alone here,’ says Sandra. So vivid and intense with lovely precision and purity, showing bright citrus with some steely acidity and a really mineral character on the finish. Fresh and intense, but with real length and complexity. 95/100

Elegant and complex nose, with delicate white flowers aromas. Honeyed and spicy, with notes of wild flowers, cinnamon and chalky freshness, very well balanced with
the soft and grassy mouth. It keeps the complexity from these minoritary varieties.

[2022 vintage] Five 'micro parcels' in Villabuena supply the raw material for this classic field blend of Viura with Calagraño, Malvasia and Rojal. Fermented and aged in older 500-litre barrels, it's a superb minimum intervention white with aromas of chamomile and subtle spices and a palate of quince, pear and yellow apple. Long and very well balanced.
