At Marquis Wine Cellars, we aim to provide a clear and reliable shipping experience for all your wine, Champagne, beer, and spirits orders. Please review our shipping policy details below:
Regular/Free Shipping:
- CANADA POST STRIKE UPDATE (11/15/2024): PLEASE NOTE THAT ADDITIONAL DELAYS AND FEES MAY APPLY FOR ORDERS SHIPPED TO AREAS NORMALLY SERVICED VIA CANADA POST.
- Orders over $249.99 + tax qualify for free Regular Shipping (2-3 business days).
- Order under $249.99 with be subject to flat-rate shipping fee of $15.99. Priority service is available for $35.
- Regular and Free Shipping orders are shipped via Canada Post's 2-3 Business Day Expedited Service or courier service for locations near our Downtown Vancouver store.
- If you are not available to receive the delivery, Canada Post will leave a pickup notice in your mailbox. Your order will be securely stored for up to 15 calendar days at your nearest postal outlet. Please note that Canada Post does not re-attempt deliveries.
- For orders of a case or more within Vancouver-proper (including North/West Vancouver and parts of Richmond/Burnaby), we offer courier door-to-door delivery. Please note that this does not include Surrey, Delta, Langley, Ladner, Coquitlam, Port Moody, or New Westminster.
- For orders of less than a case, courier delivery within Vancouver is available with the payment of the Priority Shipping fee. Unless explicitly requested and agreed upon in advance, we reserve the right to select the delivery method for each order.
- We are legally restricted from shipping outside the province of British Columbia. Packages containing alcohol must be received and signed for by an individual who is at least 19 years of age, as per liquor control laws.
Recipient Located in Downtown Vancouver:
- Deliveries to downtown Vancouver usually arrive within 1-2 days under Regular or Free Shipping.
- Our delivery hours are from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. We do not offer weekend or holiday deliveries.
- If the shipping address is residential, we may need to contact the recipient to arrange a suitable delivery time for the courier. We kindly request the person placing the order to provide the recipient's buzzer number or concierge information in the comments field. If we cannot reach the recipient within a reasonable time period, we reserve the right to ship the order via Canada Post to downtown recipients without prior notification.
- Please ensure that the delivery address and recipient's availability align with our delivery schedule. We may charge an additional shipping fee if we need to re-ship due to the recipient's relocation, vacation, or unavailability. Undelivered packages will be held by Canada Post for 15 calendar days before being automatically returned to us. Please note that second or third delivery attempts may incur additional charges.
- Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may vary depending on driver availability, weather, and traffic conditions.
Recipient Located Outside of Vancouver but within the Lower Mainland/Vancouver Island:
- Packages shipped to locations outside of Vancouver but within the Lower Mainland will be delivered via Canada Post Expedited 2-3 Business Day service.
- For faster delivery times, the option for Canada Post Priority Shipping is available at an additional fee.
- Courier deliveries are sometimes possible upon request and with payment of the Priority Shipping fee. Some rural areas with postal codes starting in "V0" may require Priority Shipping and/or incur additional charges.
- Alternate arrangements for courier delivery or other shipping companies can be made at the sender's request, provided all associated costs are covered. Please contact the store directly to make necessary arrangements and pay any excess fees.
- Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and are subject to driver availability, weather conditions, and traffic.
In-store Pickup:
- If you prefer to skip the delivery charge and pick up your order from our store, select the free In-Store Pickup option during checkout. Enter the recipient's address in the Shipping field.

Return Policy:
We accept returns under the following conditions:
- Items are in re-sellable condition (labels intact, unopened, etc.).
- Defective wines (opened) must be returned with the majority of wine left in the bottle.
- Returns are made within 30 days of the purchase or delivery date.
- A receipt or proof of purchase from Marquis Wine Cellars exists.
- Please note that a 10% restocking fee may apply to non-defective returns or "over-ordering"
