Petit Verdot
Petit Verdot, often referred to as the "hidden gem" of Bordeaux, is a late-ripening grape variety that adds depth and structure to red wine blends. Originally from Bordeaux, France, Petit Verdot is prized for its intense color, firm tannins, and rich, concentrated flavors of dark fruits, violets, and spices. While historically used in small proportions in Bordeaux blends, Petit Verdot has gained recognition as a standalone varietal in regions with warmer climates, such as Australia and California.
