Marcel Couturier

Domaine Couturier, located in the heart of the Mâconnais in southern Burgundy, has earned its reputation as a pioneer of exceptional white Burgundies. Founded by Marcel Couturier, who produced his first harvest in 2005, the domaine has grown to encompass all the major appellations of the region, including the prized Pouilly-Loché, the smallest communal appellation in southern Burgundy. The domaine’s 11 hectares of meticulously farmed vineyards are home to old Chardonnay vines, some over 70 years of age, which yield grapes of excellent quality. The harvest is conducted entirely by hand, ensuring a gentle touch for these cherished vines and preserving the integrity of each parcel.

With a steadfast commitment to nature and sustainability, Domaine Couturier has embraced organic farming since 2018, achieving full certification in 2021, and transitioned to biodynamic farming in 2022. Exclusive to Marquis Wine Cellars.
