Loire Valley

Renowned for its magnificent chateaux, once the opulent abodes of the nobility during the Ancien Régime, the vineyards of the Loire River valley span from the heartland of France to the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. Towards the upper reaches, extending eastward near Burgundy, Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé produce the world's most esteemed Sauvignon Blanc varietals. As you journey downstream, the favored white grape transitions to Chenin Blanc, accompanied by reds crafted from Cabernet Franc.
