The Coppola cabernet takes the name Claret, which was once used in the Old World to describe Bordeaux, although it is not a wine you would ever associate with the style of Bordeaux. In 2021, the blend is mostly cabernet sauvignon with petit verdot, malbec, and cabernet franc. The style is warm and lush, with sweet black fruit dominating, and a spicy, licorice, anise, and chocolate finish. The tannis are soft and round, and this is ready to drink. It is best served with spicy ribs.
