Domaine Josmeyer 2019 "le Fromenteau" Pinot Gris 750ml

The 2019 Pinot Gris Le Fromenteau blends several plots on alluvial and sandy soils in the plain. Aged for nine months in large oak and for six months in stainless steel (due to the pandemic lockdown), the wine opens with a very clear, refined and slightly flinty bouquet of ripe and spicy fruits as well as crushed stones. Rich and lush on the palate, this is a piquant and salty, firm and intense as well as aromatic yet not super persistent Pinot Gris that finishes with good grip and freshness as well as grapefruit bitters but no real depth or complexity. 13% stated alcohol. Diam cork.
