A cool, pure and airy nose displays notes of mineral reduction, citrus rind, acacia blossom and ample amounts of classic Chablis typicity. The almost painfully intense and overtly mineral-driven flavors conclude in a chiseled, focused and bone-dry finale. This is presently very compact and definitely in need of a few years of patience. Lovely and very Les Lys in style.

Score: 90-92 points -- Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 2022

Daniel Dampt, continuing a 150-year family legacy in winemaking, has merged his vineyard with his father-in-law, Jean Defaix's. Their estate now spans 30 hectares, with 16 hectares dedicated to Chablis and 14 hectares to Chablis Premier Cru, notably in regions like Vaillons, Fourchaume, Cote de Lechet, Les Lys, and Beauroy. They've recently upgraded their cellar, now featuring stainless steel tanks and modern, efficient equipment. This upgrade has boosted their bottle production to 150,000 annually. Importantly, all of Daniel Dampt's wines are produced and bottled on-site, using grapes exclusively from their vineyards, ensuring distinct personality and quality in each wine. Daniel's sons, Vincent and Sebastien, are now actively involved in the family business, bringing fresh perspectives from their training stints in New Zealand and Australia.
