Those who prefer their Pinots to walk on the funky side will dig this Marlborough bottling. Dominant aromas of beef jerky, barnyard and savory herb mingle amid cherry and plum fruit. The palate is medium bodied, with a crunch of acidity and those savory herbal notes lingering on the finish. Sturdy yet astringent tannins lend a touch of bitterness to an otherwise solid wine.
